Garden State Euros is pleased to announce the 4th Annual DubRun to the Poconos on Saturday, October 25th 2014 at the Barley Creek Brewery. This one-day event will kick off with a cruise from NJ through PA where drivers can enjoy twisting mountain roads amid a back drop of northeast foliage, culminating at the Barley Creek Brewery in Tannersville, PA. The brewery is a great place to unwind after the cruise with a cold beer and great food while browsing the on-site vendor booths as well as all of the cars on display throughout the grounds. The event is open to all European cars and is held rain or shine (but let’s hope for shine!). GSE is also pleased to announce Linden Volkswagen as the event title sponsor, with additional sponsors to be announced as the event nears. We look forward to seeing you this year for another successful event!

General entry at BARLEY CREEK BREWERY will require ONLY a clothing donation of any size for our Salvation Army winter clothing drive. PART 1 – CRUISE

10:00AM the cruise will assemble at the Meadtown Shopping Center where Kinnelon Bagels will have “DubRun” breakfast and lunch specials to pack for the cruise. The Meadtown Shopping Center parking lot serves as a great meeting location due to their large parking lot and easy access to the highway.
11:00AM the cruise will begin and will take roughly 2 hours from NJ through the Poconos.

PART 2 – BARLEY CREEK BREWERY

1:00PM the cruise will end at the BARLEY CREEK BREWERY (Sullivan Trail and Camelback Road, Tannersville, PA) where we will spend the rest of the day. There will be many activities setup for a full day of enjoyment for European car enthusiasts and families. If you are unable to make the cruise part, feel free to arrive at the brewery after 1:00PM. Entry is free although we are requesting winter clothing donations for our Salvation Army collection. Event bags will be handed out on a first come, first serve basis.

Our 1/4th mile Drag Racing is action packed non-stop entertainment, running all throughout the afternoon.We have both a “stock” and “custom” participant judged car show with over 20 classes to choose from, which can sometimes attract over 500 cars. Vendors from all the top companies in the industry have displays in our “Manufactures Midway” located right behind the grand stands in the middle of all the action. Lastly, the Swap Meet at the BUG-IN  stretches over nearly half the parking lot, and could take you all afternoon just to walk.

What is Granny Grose’s Buses? Well, it’s just another reason to bring out the Bus or Bug and camp with the family, along with fellow Volkswagen owners. We have been camping with Granny Grose for 16 years.

My family and I have always enjoyed camping. But never experienced the fun and absolute joy of camping in a VW Bus! On my 22nd birthday, I bought my first Bus. We started attending VW Shows. Met some of our closest friends through our love of Buses. We would camp before and after shows. And we always had talked about starting our own lil’ campout.

A quick planned first GGB campout was held in May 2005 with just 8 Buses. In 2006, we jumped to 34 Buses! 2007, Granny Grose’s saw 43 Buses from 12 States, 2008 grew again to 46 Buses. In 2009, GGB peaked at 75 Buses & 5 Bugs! In 2010, we hosted 70 Buses, 2 Bugs, & 1 Thing from 14 states and 2 countries! May of 2011….somehow on a soggy weekend…we had a record 76 Buses! In 2012, we beat the record, yet again, by one…77 Buses(82 VWs)!!

Every attendee over 18 years old must pay the Auto Club Speedway gate fee. Right now, it’s only $10 per person to pre-pay for the gate fee, but it will be $20 cash on the day of the event, so sign up today and lock in the discounted rate.

This Virginia-based event draws one of the largest VW crowds in the country.  Expect more than 300 show cars, drag racing, a slalom event, a huge swap meet, and several new part vendors.

Over $15,000 in cash and prizes are given out at each event.

The event will be held Sunday, May 25, 2014 at Virginia Motorsports Park in North Dinwiddie, Virginia. We will host the East Coast Pro Racing Association.

The Hot VW Drag Day is an event held biannually in Southern California. Since this event was brought back just over 10 years ago, it has been a tremendous success. Geared more toward the motor head VW Junkie, the HOT VWs Drag day has much to offer for every kind of VW Enthusiast. Of course there is the action packed 1/8th mile drag racing that takes place, which on some days can attract over 200+ racers at any given event. Although there is no “car show” at this event, we do offer a Show N’ Shine display area for any VW right in the middle of the action at no extra charge to you. The Drag Day also offers a huge Swap Meet, at no extra charge to vendors, that seems to keep getting larger and larger as each year passes. Overall the Drag Day is a fun event no matter what you like about Volkswagens. Whether you’re into racing or want to catch a good deal in the swap meet, the Hot VW Drag Day has everything to offer.

NO CAMPING ON SATURDAY NIGHT
There is no camping at the Irwindale facility for Saturday night. Please do not show up on Saturday afternoon in your motor home and/or trailer. You will be asked to turn around and come back in the morning. There are campsites and RV parks in neighboring cities, so please check with them for vacancy.
